Sur-Seal
Sur-Seal was founded as a family-owned and operated business in 1965 with headquarters located in Cincinnati, Ohio. We have engineering service centers located across the U.S. as well as in Mexico and China. We seek to simplify engineering and supply chain solutions for over 200 OEM customers, including many long-term Fortune 500 partners. From creating gaskets for the Apollo missions to producing today’s cutting-edge solutions, we remain committed to innovation that expands possibilities for our customers.
Mueller
Mueller™, a Sur-Seal Company, is a North Carolina-based provider of custom engineering, converting and manufacturing of flexible materials. Mueller was founded in 1940 with the core values of honesty, integrity, responsiveness and respect that continue to guide the business today. Mueller specializes in quick, cost-efficient production capabilities that shorten lead times and add value to complex projects. Mueller’s largest end-markets are HVAC, aerospace, medical, and other general industries. The Company is ISO-9001 and AS9100 certificated and offers many MilSpec and ASTM-certified raw materials.
Spectex
Spectex™, a Sur-Seal Company, is a New Hampshire-based manufacturer of flexible materials that also provides custom engineering solutions and converting services. Spectex was founded in 2001 and has a history of providing innovative solutions to industries including medical, aerospace, industrial, and many others. The company specializes in producing high-quality products, including gaskets, thermal pads and silicone optics. Spectex uses the most effective and efficient manufacturing techniques available, including custom extrusion, molding, die-cutting, injection molding and more.

Meet Our CEO
In 2022, Sur-Seal announced the appointment of Dana Waterman as Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Waterman brings a wealth of managerial experience, having served in CEO roles since 2002, including assignments in the rubber and plastic industries. He has led companies serving the industrial, medical, aerospace, packaging, building products, and oil and gas markets. He started his career in engineering and business development in the aerospace and defense industries after graduating with an engineering degree from Johns Hopkins University
Heartwood Partners
Sur-Seal is owned by Heartwood Partners, a middle market private equity firm founded in 1982 with headquarters in Norwalk, Connecticut. Heartwood manages over $1 billion in investments and commitments, with a focus on supporting family and management-owned manufacturers, value-added distributors, food, chemical, consumer products and business service companies.
