Neoprene
Neoprene, also known as polychloroprene, is a synthetic, fluid-tight rubber compound with exceptional durability and flexibility over a wide range of temperatures. It is ideal for use in gaskets due to its ability to resist damage from UV rays, chemicals, gases, moisture, and more. It also offers superior shock absorption and vibration-dampening properties. These properties make it an ideal choice for gaskets and other applications where fluid-tight seals are vital for achieving optimal performance and safety.
Poron
Poron is an open-cell, polyurethane foam well-suited for packaging and protecting sensitive electronics and other delicate items. The consistent size of cells within the material creates superior compression strength and establishes an effective barrier against dust and dirt. Poron’s open-cell design makes it perform much like a microcellular spring that will return to its initial shape following repeated impacts. Indeed, Poron offers exceptional shock absorption and vibration-dampening performance. With a smooth surface skin, it easily bonds to a wide range of surfaces which makes it perfect for laminated gaskets and self-adhesive applications.
